Contemporary art exhibition spot "PARCO de Museum" opens in Matsumoto PARCO!
Matsumoto PARCO is holding a contemporary art exhibition spot, Matsumoto City Museum of Art x Matsumoto PARCO "Parco de Museum", divided into four periods by the end of February 2022.
Contemporary art is exhibited on all 6 floors and the roof of Matsumoto PARCO as part of the Matsumoto Machinaka Art Project 2021, in which Matsumoto City acts as an executive committee to revitalize the city from the perspective of art.
The Matsumoto City Museum of Art, which is a tourist attraction in Matsumoto City, has been closed for one year due to renovation work, and we have invited the museum space to Matsumoto PARCO as an alternative place for art recognition opportunities. Attracting museum space into a shopping center is unprecedented nationwide.
In addition to the huge polka-dotted pumpkin of world-famous avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama, the works of artists related to Nagano Prefecture and Matsumoto City are selected and introduced, including sculpture, lacquer art, paintings, photographs, and installations. You can experience a variety of expression worlds.
