PARCO CO., LTD.

PARCO CO., Ltd. (“PARCO”) hereby announces it will lease part of a building under construction in central Kumamoto City (Provisional Name: “Shimotori GATE Project Building”) from Sanyo Co., Ltd., the building’s owner, to open a retail facility under the name HAB@.

Kumamoto PARCO closed its doors at the end of February 2020 due to the building’s age and changes in the surrounding commercial environment. In the spring of 2023 PARCO will open a new complex in this area beloved by Kumamoto residents for 33 years with a curated tenant mix that includes new business lines from local companies and a concentration of eateries and lifestyle goods stores opening in the area for the first time. PARCO aims to create a familiar and welcoming lifestyle attraction for both local residents and visitors alike.

●Name Concept: HUB＆HAVE

PARCO aims to create a HUB for fun and lifestyle goods in the city, a space which will HAVE unique appeal that meets the needs of a wide range of generations while incorporating local specialties. As part of PARCO’s commitment to highlight the local community and help create a lively area of town, the name includes the preposition “at” or @, representing location, along with a design that resembles a pin on a map.
